Services performed through Wimbledon Health Partners include those done through Vascular Centers of America (VCOA): echocardiography (echo), ABI, vascular scans of the aorta, carotid, renal, arterial, abdominal and venous. Trained technologists come to the physician’s office to conduct testing while board-certified radiologists and cardiologists, who specialize in interpreting test results, prepare and report their findings to the physician.
Common circulatory disorders are assessed through vascular and echo studies. Vascular and echo diagnostics are a valuable diagnostic modality for disorders such as: obesity, hypertension, high blood pressure, chest pain, abdominal pain, swollen limbs, pain in limbs, dizziness and sensory loss in extremities.
Additional services performed through Wimbledon Health Partners’ collegiate testing division, Wimbledon U, includes: vascular imaging, EKG, and echocardiography. Trained technologists travel to colleges and universities to conduct non-invasive diagnostic testing on student athletes. Results are read and interpreted by board certified radiologists and cardiologists, and complete reports are provided to the school.
Coronary artery diseases can be assessed through vascular imaging and echocardiograms. Conditions such as Marfan syndrome, sudden cardiac arrest, valve disorders, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and myocarditis are leading causes of death among young athletes and can be diagnosed using vascular imaging, EKGs, and echocardiograms.
